Tessa is 15 years old. She loves reading and poetry, and the color aqua. Tessa likes to go shopping, especially for high heels because she’s on the short side. She has younger twin siblings, a deep love for animals … and a brain tumor.
Her parents have no insurance. The tumor, although not cancerous, is invasive and needs to be removed. She has already lost 90% of the hearing in one ear and partial use of one arm and leg.
The community of Lincoln has already raised almost $4000 with raffle tickets, a bake sale, and a burrito feed. We are planning a large benefit/auction to be held on August 23 where we hope to raise more money.
We are seeking donations for this benefit. We would appreciate your help in any way: a financial donation, an item to be auctioned off, or help with the food we are preparing. Your presence at the event would be awesome! There will be activities for children, a pig roast, and a live and silent auction.
Tessa and her family are dealing with heavy concerns. It would be a blessing if we could do something to boost their spirits and help them financially at the same time. If you could be part of that effort it would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
The Helping Hand Committee
