Kathy Heisler (pictured above) earned her B.S. degree in K-12th Physical Education and Athletics from the University of Montana in Missoula. She also has her master’s degree from MSU Northern in Guidance and Counseling. Mrs. Heisler came to Lincoln in 1983 because of the opportunity to work in a public school, which means she has been here for 26 years! For two years she taught kindergarten through 8th grade physical education and she was a kindergarten through 12th grade counselor. Mrs. Heisler later got her administrator’s degree and she was the grade 7th through 12th principal for 20 years! Recently, she received her principal and superintendent endorsement from the University of Montana. As you know, Mrs. H. is in her fourth year as being a wonderful superintendent at our school.
Laurie Maughan is a Montana native who grew up in Helena. She is an honors graduate of the University of Montana. She expects to complete her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from U of M in the summer of 2009. She has spent the last 3 years in Lincoln teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade. She also coached Jr. High Volleyball. Her home often feels like a zoo with 1 husband, 4 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 16 chickens and 1 fish, as well as 1spider-plant that may or may not survive. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, pottery, hiking, and huckleberry picking. She loves to learn and she loves to see her students succeed.
